El Zaribah Shriners

On February 10, 1896, 16 years before Arizona became a State a group of Masons was issued a dispensation to form a new Shrine Shrine Center in Phoenix. Therefore, at the Cleveland Imperial Council Session on June 24, 1896 a charter was issued to El Zaribah Shrine Shrine Center # 72 by the Imperial Council of the Mystic Shrine of North America. In 1896 was also the year that gold was discovered in the Klondike. The Statue of Liberty was 10 years old.
