International Chapters Receive Dispensations at Imperial Session
Two New International Chapters received their dispensation at Imperial Session, giving them approval to form and build. Congratulations to Acrux Shriners U.D. of Victoria, Australia, and Ñemity Shriners U.D. of Asunción, Paraguay, who will now focus their efforts on becoming fully chartered temples within the fraternity!
This is an exciting time of growth for Shriners International, particularly in our international regions. The fraternity’s reach is expanding, year after year, across the globe.
Acrux and Ñemity have been working for months to have the opportunity to be put into legislation for consideration by the Imperial representatives in Reno.
In order to receive dispensation, those working to form a new temple must gather signatures from current nobles and Master Masons (who are in good standing and are eligible to become nobles), along with documentation from the Grand Lodge that there is no objection to forming a new temple. The proposal must be approved by several governing committees to be put into legislation for consideration at Imperial Session.
The two temples will now take steps to ensure that when the time comes, they will receive their charters with full operational control to run and govern their temple in compliance with the Imperial Bylaws.
The fraternity continues to be relevant to men around the world. It is a source of fun and fellowship, and brings nobles together to support the philanthropy’s inspiring mission – to transform the lives of children and families by providing specialized medical care to children in need.
