For four years, 20 nobles of El Zagal temple have been cooking up a storm as part of the Misfits BBQ club, but it hasn’t been easy. They officially became a club in January 2020 – just before COVID hit – yet members persevered, operating "drive-thru" BBQ events with the help of social media. It was a huge hit, and the good times have continued to roll since then. But Misfits BBQ isn’t just about gathering to cook and eat tasty meals, though. They provide low-cost or no-cost meals to good causes and participate in fundraising projects regularly. Nobles also focus on fraternal membership by assisting other units, clubs and events in addition to bringing awareness to Be a Shriner Now.
